Amy Williams-Banfield, MA
CO-FOUNDER & CO-CEO

Amy is the visionary behind Nonprofity. For the past 25 years, she supported non-profits and major funders. Amy has overseen a portfolio of over $580M in grants which included focus areas of community development, healthy births, high school recruitment, and early education. She also led a $54M workforce development initiative, managing a collaborative of 21 colleges and universities across Los Angeles County.
​
As a Community Engagement Director, Amy organized communities in Southeast Los Angeles, and the Antelope Valley to identify systems change projects to improve the quality of life for families with young children. Amy has senior management experience with both large and small non-profit organizations focused on social impact in minority and under-invested communities.

A native of Philadelphia, Amy earned her B.A. in Political Science/Public Administration from California State University, Los Angeles, as well as a Master’s Degree in Health Science/Community and Public Health Education.

​Allysunn Walker, MBA, MPH
CO-FOUNDER & CO-CEO
Allysunn brings more than 2 decades of exceptional leadership and management experience as a CEO and senior executive in the non-profit, public and private sectors. Prior to co-founding Nonprofity, LLC, Allysunn served as CEO of two education-related non-profit organizations.
​
Allysunn’s work history centers around market-driven, innovative strategies for restoration of under-developed, low-wealth communities. Her work as a consultant for 2 Fortune 200 companies focused on driving banks’ CRA investments and grants in Fresno, CA, a region with one of the highest rates of concentrated poverty in the country. Other senior executive experience includes serving as Chief Real Estate Officer for the Fresno Housing Authority, Associate Director for the Office of Community Economic Development at California State University Fresno, Director of Community Health & Education at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Director of Development for the Weingart Center for the Homeless, and Deputy Director of Development for the Los Angeles Mission.

Born and raised in Ohio, Allysunn earned a B.A. in Sociology from Harvard University, a Masters of Public Health with honors from UCLA, and an MBA from Craig School of Business at CSU Fresno.

Marsha Ellis
CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE & FOUNDATION RELATIONS OFFICER

Marsha has over 25 years’ experience developing and implementing public health programs for communities throughout Los Angeles County. An unwavering advocate for women and children, Marsha is committed to ensuring that those living in underserved communities have access to resources that promote physical and mental wellness.
In addition to her acumen in public health promotion, Marsha has nearly two decades of experience in grantmaking. For 17 years, she worked with an advocacy organization responsible for directing tobacco tax revenues to support young children and their families. In her role as a grantmaker, Marsha managed funding initiatives that disbursed over $450M dollars to schools, health centers and other nonprofit organizations. Marsha provided technical assistance to grantees and worked with them to increase their capacity to leverage other sustainable funding.
Over the years, Marsha has been actively involved in several funders groups including Southern California Grant-makers, Southern California Blacks in Philanthropy, PEAK (formerly Grant Makers Network). She is an Alumnae of UC Berkeley and UCLA.
